Put your club name and crest on a membership card and see exactly how it would look sitting in a member's phone. It takes about thirty seconds, costs nothing, and you can download the result and drop it into the committee chat to see what everyone thinks.

This is a preview, not a live credential. Real cards carry a rotating code that only works while the membership is active.
Build your card
Type your club name and watch it appear. Your preview is created in this browser. If you request an emailed PDF, the preview and crest are shared with Comnly and our email provider to deliver it.
A branded PDF preview with links to live Comnly features.
Want the real thing for your club?
Leave an email and we will show you what it takes to get a live card, with a working QR and door scanning, into every member's phone.
Put your result to work
Your download is a design preview. Its QR opens Comnly’s digital membership cards feature page. A live Comnly card is linked to the club's membership records so authorised door staff can check membership status.
STEP 1
Download the preview and show it to the committee. Comnly gives members a digital card in the app, connected to their club membership.

Share the club join link or QR sign-up poster, then help approved members sign in and enable notifications for club updates.

What the real card does
The card above is a design mock. The version your members would carry does three things a printed card cannot.
Members save the card to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet in one tap. After that it sits a swipe from the lock screen, works whether or not the Comnly app is open, and updates itself when their membership changes. Nobody has to remember to bring anything.
The code on a real card is backed by a rotating token rather than a fixed membership number. Scan it and the check runs against your current membership list, so a member who lapsed last month is caught at the door rather than three months later when someone reconciles the spreadsheet.
Door staff scan with a phone and see a name, a photo, and a clear admitted or not admitted result. Each scan is logged, which gives the committee real footfall: your busiest nights, your most regular faces, and the members who have quietly stopped coming.
Why clubs are dropping plastic
A printed card run looks cheap until you count the whole year. There is the print cost, the postage, the cards that never get collected, the replacements for the ones left in a coat pocket, and the Secretary’s evening spent stuffing envelopes. Then the membership year rolls over and you do it again. Most UK clubs we speak to have a drawer of uncollected cards from two seasons ago.
The point of a membership card is the moment at the door. If half your members left theirs at home, the person on the door falls back to recognising faces, which works fine until it is a busy night, a new volunteer is on, or somebody signs in a guest who is not really a guest. A card on a phone gets carried because the phone gets carried.
Printed cards cannot be revoked. Once a card is in someone’s hand it works until it physically expires, which means a member who stopped paying in March is still getting member prices in November. A digital card checks live membership status every single time it is scanned, so the card stops working the moment the membership does.
Committees worry that members will not download another app. In practice the card is the thing that gets them over the line, because it is obviously for them rather than for the committee. They get their card, their events, and their club notices in the same place, and the club gets a channel that is not buried in a group chat.
Cards are the visible bit, but most clubs lose more to members not hearing about what is on. If turnout is the thing keeping you up, the Club Communication Health Check scores you in about ninety seconds, and our guide on why members stop coming to club nights covers the six causes we see most often.
