How Comnly is designed to reduce CSAE risk
Comnly is a private, members-only communications platform for clubs, associations, and member organisations. By design:
- Membership is approved by a verified organisation administrator. Members cannot join an organisation without an admin's approval or a club-issued invite or QR code.
- Comnly does not offer public discovery, public feeds, public profiles, or stranger-to-stranger contact.
- Comnly does not offer private one-to-one direct messaging between members. All posts are visible to the organisation's committee and verified members.
- All account holders must confirm they are 18 years of age or older. Comnly is not intended for use by anyone under 18.
- Organisations are based in the United Kingdom and accept Comnly's terms of service, which prohibit illegal content and illegal use of the platform.
Prohibited content and conduct
The following are strictly prohibited on Comnly:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind
- Grooming, solicitation, or sexualised contact involving minors
- Sharing of sexual or sexualised content involving anyone under 18
- Any content that endangers the safety or welfare of a child
Violations result in immediate account termination, content removal, organisation suspension where appropriate, and reporting to the relevant authorities.
