How Comnly is designed to reduce CSAE risk

Comnly is a private, members-only communications platform for clubs, associations, and member organisations. By design:

• Organisations control admission through their configured approval and invitation routes. Account holders provide an age declaration and date of birth; these checks are not independent identity or age verification.
• Member communities are access-controlled. Organisations can separately publish public event pages and offer guest ticket purchases without a Comnly account. These pages do not grant access to private member communities.
• Comnly does not offer general member-to-member direct messaging. Where enabled, it provides member-to-committee conversations, restricted committee discussions and posts visible to their selected audience. Access depends on the feature and assigned permissions.
• All account holders must confirm they are 18 years of age or older. Comnly is not intended for use by anyone under 18.
• Organisations are based in the United Kingdom and accept Comnly's terms of service, which prohibit illegal content and illegal use of the platform.

Prohibited content and conduct

The following are strictly prohibited on Comnly:

• Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind
• Grooming, solicitation, or sexualised contact involving minors
• Sharing of sexual or sexualised content involving anyone under 18
• Any content that endangers the safety or welfare of a child

We act on violations through content removal or restriction, account termination or suspension, organisation suspension where appropriate, and reporting to the relevant authorities where required or appropriate. We preserve evidence where necessary for lawful investigation.

Reporting concerns

Any user, member, or member of the public can report child safety concerns to Comnly:

• Through the in-product content-report control where available
• Through your organisation administrator, who can escalate the report to Comnly using the contact details above

Reports are reviewed promptly by our designated child safety point of contact. We acknowledge reports and take action as quickly as possible, typically within one business day.

Reporting to authorities

Comnly complies with all applicable child safety laws in the jurisdictions where we operate. Where we identify or are made aware of suspected CSAM or CSAE:

• We preserve relevant evidence in accordance with applicable law
• We report to the UK Internet Watch Foundation (IWF) and the National Crime Agency's CEOP Command where appropriate
• We cooperate with law enforcement requests that comply with applicable legal process
